We meet at All Souls Church on the 2nd Saturday September - June. The church is located on Lexington Ave between 79 and 80 Street. Norine's email: [email protected] Our Mission Is: To preserve and support the art and craft of knitting; To educate all interested in learning or perfecting their knitting skills; To awaken awareness to knitting in particular and fiber arts in general, and foster appreciation and respect for their inclusion in the arts community; To provide a harmonious network among knitters; To share with society the products of our craft. BAKG was founded in the early 1991 by a small group of knitting enthusiasts. It now numbers 260 members enjoying monthly meetings with professional presenters, a quarterly newsletter, weekly e-news blasts, annual luncheon with gifts and prizes, annual retreat weekend, workshops with professional teachers, The guild usually meets on the second Saturday of the month. Meeting dates and locations appear in each issue of CITY PURLS, our quarterly newsletter, in meeting announcements to members and guests, and on our websit, www.bakg.org.
