Great shop! Got a chance to visit while my daughter was visiting Carleton College. When you walk in, it looks more like a gift shop but then you see a small amount of yarn. BUT .... the moment I touched the yarn, the gal working in the shop (owner?) said - oh, if you like yarn, be sure to go downstairs. So, you walk down this quaint little spiral staircase into a beautiful haven of yarn, books, and fabric (for quilting, etc.). It is not a huge selection of yarns and colors, but what they have is glorious and certainly large enough to keep you drooling (neatly, of course) for a long time and (for me) almost interminably indecisive as to what to buy! If I return to Northfield, I will definitely be back to Digs for more shopping! [P.S. Northfield is a wonderful town and there is lots to do on the main street on which Digs is located, incl. a great bookstore (River City) next door and multiple great coffee shops across the street.]
